Your Conception

  • What do you already know about the time you were conceived?
  • What was happening in your parents’ lives.
  • Was there space for you to be?
  • Was your father supportive of wanting a baby?
  • And during the pregnancy, was he away a lot, emotionally available or lacking?
  • Was your mum going through grief of a loved one?
  • Did she find out she was pregnant with you with joy or in shock?
  • Were you conceived after a miscarriage?
  • Were your parents moving to a new country or moving house?

  • On the next page, there is space to write down what you already know. Then we move on to the next pages where I’ve written down some examples of open questions to open up the conversation with your moms and/or dads. Make sure there is space for your questions and avoid busy moments when there is too much going on.
